Each of the contributing companies brought their own uniqueness and expertise to create this state-of-the-art product. Pixelink with their advanced engineering and understanding of medical market needs created the overall design and manufacturability of the product. Digital View with their vast knowledge of digital video developed the controller card used in this application that allows the user multiple inputs (DVI-D, ARGB, component, S-Video and composite) in addition to ambient backlight control and thermal management. The Controller also has programmable gamma control, which allows Pixelink to tune the monitor to match optical characteristics of an existing CRT. Innova Electronics has extensive history in backlight technology and hazard area electronic manufacturing. For this project they supplied their patented backlight technology thus increasing the brightness and lamp life without degrading the image quality or the viewing angle.
John Bowab, General Manager of Pixelink said, “The contributions and expertise of our alliance partners helped produce a high performance monitor to meet the concerns of the medical industry such as contrast, luminance, image quality and extended product life.”
The all metal housing of the 18” 180M Series High Bright Monitor is designed not only for medical markets, but also is rugged enough to withstand the riggers of industrial based applications. Additionally, the design provides our customers a typical product life expectancy of 50,000 hours MTBF.
Pricing and Availability: The 18” 180M Series High Bright Monitor is available from Pixelink. The model number is PI180MHB-H1XXX. This monitor lists at $4,200 and may vary depending on the volume and options added. For more pricing information, please contact John Bowler at 978-562-4803.
